Overview
Public transportation is an extremely valuable asset to our county and
region, and can help reduce traffic congestion, provide essential mobility, and improve air quality. To continue to best serve its customers, Napa County Transportation and Planning Agency (NCTPA) is conducting two interrelated study efforts, a Short Range Transit Plan (SRTP) and Community Transit Studies. |

| Short Range Transit Plan |
The SRTP is a five-year transit operating plan and capital program that, when complete, will serve as a guide for service changes, plans, and programming. This Plan will assist
NCTPA’s Board in making informed decisions regarding
the following:
• Scheduling and route planning
• Safety and security
• Service reliability
• System effectiveness and efficiency
• Customer service
• Coordinating transit service with neighboring providers |
|
Community Transit Studies |
In coordination with the SRTP process, NCTPA will conduct community studies in the Cities of American Canyon, Napa,
St. Helena, and Calistoga. The purpose of the community studies is to evaluate existing transit services and performance, identify travel patterns, and evaluate future needs. Information gathered will be used to supplement the STRP. |
